What is The Tech Garden?
"The Tech Garden is a
place where ideas come to grow into profitable businesses. Our goal is
to be the focal point for high-technology entrepreneurship and business
growth in the region.
Our mission is to foster
entrepreneurial activity in Syracuse and the Central New York region by
stimulating technological creativity through the incubation of
technology start-up businesses. Our state-of-the-art facility provides
the environment and resources required to grow and sustain these
early-stage companies. We foster the growth of emerging technology
companies and support the process of technology commercialization in the
region."
What is the Gallery at The Tech Garden?
"The
Gallery at the Tech Garden seeks ways to explore the intersection of
art, technology and science through visual displays, film screenings,
discussions, collaborations and other events -- with a goal of
highlighting Central New York’s position as a center of innovation and
creativity."
Who is the 2013 Artist-in-Residence at The Tech Garden?
Maria Rizzo’s paintings have been exhibited in solo and group
exhibitions in galleries and museums throughout New York state and
abroad, including the Red House Gallery in Syracuse, the Frederic
Remington Museum in Ogdensburg, and the Museo d' Arte Contemporanea di
Lissone in Italy. She is a NYFA MARK 12 alumni and the 2013
Artist-in-Residence / Curator at The Tech Garden in Syracuse, New York.
Maria Rizzo was born in Bologna, Italy in 1987.
